| < USB/Firewire ~ 22" NEC Monitors, which is better? |

i'm lookin at getting a new monitor and wanted to know which would be the better choice: NEC FP2141S8 or NEC DP2070... does anybody have either of these and could tell me how they perform and any dislikes about them?
i've heard about the 2 horizontal lines showing and also read about some screen problems they sometimes have that are said to be a defect, does anybody have these problems?

While I don't have either of those models (I've the 22" Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2060u . . . . Same CRT) I love it!
The thing with the two lines is negligible/of no consequence IMO. Yes, if you know they are there and choose to look for them, they can be seen. But, in ones normal daily use, you never notice them.
I'm not aware of any defects what so ever.
If we don't see timely, helpful response here, we'll move this thread to the video cards, editing, and displays forum.

There is no difference between the 2141 and 2070. The Mitsubishi has availability where the NEC does not, and has name brand recognition, so it carries a price premium, but in terms of specifications, they are exactly the same.

The 2 lines are VERY faint. You won't be able to see them unless you are looking for them.
