I have a k7vt4a+ motherboard which has an AGP slot with a 1.5 volt limit, im using a GEEFORCE FX5200 128 MB DDR graphics card and wondered if it was possible to change the voltage through my bios to suit a bigger card, but if not what is the biggest card i could go with (eg...fx5700, fx5600....128, 256 ddr?)

id be greatful if someone could enlighten me on this matter

k7vt4a+ motherboard
athlon 2800+
1gb ddr 400 crucial memory
80 gb barracuda 7200 hd
geeforce fx5200 128 ddr graphics

Assuming you are correct about the AGP socket, any card that supports 4X AGP would be fine and those all do. There is hardly any difference between running 4X and 8X AGP in practice so you won't lose much in speed.

on the map layout for my motherboard it displays my AGP port and the statement (1.5v.AGP 1) , and on the guide fof installation of a graphics card it says....please do NOT use a 3.3v card on the AGP slot of this motherboard it may cause permanent damage! for voltage information of your graphics card, please check with the graphics card vendor.

and yes my motherboard is 8x

AGP 1x and 2x were 3.3V. Newer 4x and 8x are 1.5V.
