ATTENTION BUDGET CONCIOUS: Best Sempron 64?

Which budget/overclocker concious sempron 64 would you pick? I would like to hit 300-333mhz bus and I have ruled out the 2500 (too low of a max cpu clock) and the 3100 (too expensive). I like the lower multiplier option of the 3000 but I'm not sure if it's really that necessary since 8x will put me at about the sweet spot for this core. I'd like your input. Cache is a factor, but not nearly as important as total overclock and price.

take the extra cache, and overclock it!

I have several of the 2600 and the 2800, for the price get the 2600. It willl OC as well or better than the 2800.

I don't know that you will get to the 300-330 range though[stable]. Mine run about 270 folding stable without a lot of extra cpu voltage.

I have heard that the 2500 will actually clock higher but is hampered by the low multi. Ask Dangtx about it.

What revision do you have, if you don't mind me asking?

I have a 2600+ Sempron in my wife's\daughters PC and it overclocks quite well and 128k cache hasn't seemed to slow it down much.

All my Semprons are BX, which I believe are E6.
I have 2500,2600&2800

All will post at 280 and go to windows at a moderate cpu voltage, but are folding stable at 265-270 1.45v.

I ended up picking a refurb 2600+ for $58 shipped on the egg.

Haven't gotten it yet. I'll let you know. They are sold out of the refurb $58 now.
