OMFG

you guys are never going to believe this, but my frikkin CD drives dissapeared from my computer and there is an X through the direct CD icon.... now what???

Have your friend burn you a copy of Bart PE and go to town with that..... cuz seems to me your OS is completely unstable

You can use a compression utility to create a spanned archive. ( Winzip for example.) or you can use a file splitting utility. ( Hjsplit for example.)

thanks, but my drivers went bad on my cd/dvd drives... now how do i format the computer??????

You can reformat during a re-install of the OS, as a safety measure you can even delete the partitions and redo them.

my cd drives dont work Hesitant to get involved , but...Your CD drives don't work in Windows because your copy of Windows appears to be broken. They probably work fine anywhere else, including during a re-install. In fact, that is why you are re-installing.

look in your bios/cmos setup and see if the CD drives are detected if they show up your good to go

Yes, but i couldnt re-install without the CD drives working.

Anyways, i got them working (acually, the gateway people did) it was a problem in my registry.

Now, i have a problem... no burning software works. My CD drives work, play music, ect, but the burning software cant find the drives to burn stuff??

t says that there are no supported CDRW drives... but in my frikkin device mananger, it shows the CDRW drive
