| < Windows Server 2003 ~ Trying to get my laptop connect to sbs2003 |

I just buy this laptop and trying to get it connect to my small business server 2003, the laptop is running win xp media center and I trying to connect to server through a linksys wired&wireless router, but ever time I tried to do the setup I get an error message, the server do all the dhcp routing and assign the ip address can anyone help me please. thanks.

You have set up your user on the SBS box and then tried to connect through internet explorer with \\servername\ConnectComputer?

I did that and it ask for my user name and password and start to do the insalled then it gives a error message an error occured when configuring networking settings.

It could be relating to the fact you are running Media Centre Edition. Try to configure the laptop to connect to the server manually

XP Media Center behaves similarly to XP Home edition. These editions are not made to attach to a server but you can manually do so as said in the above post.
