Hey thanks alot for the Kudos. Let me try and answer some questions.
Red.Sky- I'll pm you with some figures if you like.
Sloppy- Im using acrylic cement. I use the fastest drying cement they make. One thing. The pieces arent glued together. The acrylic cement actually welds the pieces together and then evaporates. When putting two pieces together,, put them together lightly not tightly clamped down. This allows the liquid to flow across the weld seam completely. Practice.
PSU SLEEVING- Yes I liked the performance/price of the Seasonic and my plans are to sleeve it myself. I have purchased some BLACK shrink to get the job done. Any extra wires that I do not use will be tightly folded and neatly placed at the bottom between the HD's and the PSU.
I didnt go modular becuase after reading many articles/reviews about modular psu's, I noticed a recurring comment about the instability of the voltage. Its not really bad or anything, but it seems one can still achieve tighter voltage readings with the conventional wiring. This point could be argued I am totally aware. My choice was the S-12 600watt.

Hi,
I know its been done alot these days, but Ive been sitting on this design for about 18 months and finally had the $$ to buy up the new computer hardware for it.
This is my "I did it my way" case. Air-Cooled, Full Tower, not much Bling, fairly conventional design. Cutting out and gluing up the core pieces of the case.

Next, I had to make some brackets for the Drive Bays, HD's, and the Motherboard Tray.

Farther along now with the Transparent Green Trim which also serves to hold the side panels in place. Side panels will slide/remove vertically.

As you can see there is a 5/8" gap at the top of the case where the Green doesnt quite go all the way up. At the top I will have another Piece of Green attached to the actual side panel. It will extend 5/8" down the outside and across the top and will bend 5/8" over the Top of the case.
At this point, my progress was slowed a bit. I had to build the strip heater, learn to heat and bend the acrylic. Ive learned to bend the acrylic but it warps badly as it cools and the bend radius isnt as tight as I need for the job yet. So I built a Jig to get tighter bends and eliminate the warping.

\
I know this is my first post on the forums but Ive been a lurker for over a year. Tons of nice case projects here. Comments and Questions welcomed please.

Hey Drago, welcome to XS
Enjoy your stay

That case mod looks awesome, so very clean and tidy looking.

Love the fan arrangement at the front, gonna have some awesome airflow.

Can't wait to see it with the mobo and stuff in there

Take care,
Alec

Hey thanks for the replys,
Cronic, yeah the green was totally my preference. I just wanted something to accent the case with. Totally clear doesnt float my boat.
Carlin, I first went out and bought a fresh blade for my table saw. 80 teeth on 10" with zero kerf. Then I was way careful about getting clean straight cuts with it. For the Internal cuts I used a Roto-Zip tool with a bit for plastic. Roto-zip has an attachment that will allow you to cut very nice circles. I did not cut right to the line tho. I stayed about 1/8th " away and then used a round sanding bit on my drill press and sanded out to the lines the rest of the way. One of the more difficult things to learn was how to bond the pieces together so the bond looks like one piece without any gaps or bubbles. Now that the case is finished im pretty good about it haha. The whole thing was a learning experience. Fun too.
Thank you to the rest of you for the Kudos. U too SkY(UK)

Im having a difficult time with the bending of the Acrylic. Actually Im getting good bends but, when I remove the piece from my jig, it just warps all up from straight. IF anyone can give me some advice how to eliminate the warpage I would appreciate it.
More Photos Later Thanks.
